Inspection Checklist for Arbalests

1. The bow string should not have excessive wear shown by fraying.
2. The prod wedges should be tight.
3. You should not be able to wiggle the prod.
4. All bolts should be tight.  The stand should not wiggle excessively when the weapon is cocked.
5. The top of the stock should be waxed.
6. The draw string should not be frayed.
7. If the windlass is plastic, there should be no cracks in it.
8. The hole in the windlass for the draw string should not have sharp edges that can cut the draw string.
9. The ends of the prod should not have sharp edges that can cut the bow string.
10. There should be no cracks or structural defects that may cause the structure to break or fail.
11. There should be no unnecessary projections that can extend more than one half inch into a face grill.
